i joined this project 3 weeks ago but after mucking up the settings i ended up only getting cpu work units when i wanted only gpu wus. i corrected the settings, cancelled the cpu wus and... nothing; i never got another work unit since. i tried removing and re-adding the project as well as resetting it but im still not getting anything. any idea what could be causing this and how to fix it? i assumed i was temp banned for cancelling every wu when i joined but after pming an admin, i was told the problem was definitely on my side. what should i try next?

Check your BOINC client logs. It usually shows a detailed reason for not getting work units.

You can look at logs in Tools -> Event log (Ctrl+Shift+E).

The last relevant line I saw is "NVIDIA GPU: job cache fu...". I don't know how it can happen, you probably need to manually delete all BOINC files and reinstall BOINC.

thats sounds like it would reset my credits and rac to 0 on every project, wouldnt it?

edit: im having this problem on some projects (including yours), not all of them and it only happens with projects i cancelled all units on when i messed up the settings (about a half dozen).

It won't reset your credits and RAC, just make sure you keep your credentials (email and password) for each project in a safe place before you reinstall BOINC.
