Soo much thank you Kellen. k+ This instruction work on 100%. my problem was : box next to File name extensions to see file extensions " when i check and see whole extension/s , i can corect file to right and it work. Now i recomended all with RTX nv gf cards use more task, ) i have this one month ,still no problems,,,but i knocking on wood..)) http://www.inno3d.com/products_detail.php?refid=399 i use easy setup no overclock just with msi afterburner : powerlimit-111%, temp.to-88 C and card use "just" 280W accord. gpu-Z memory usage: 3570 mb (whole pc sys) now with two task on run.... NOt recomending overclocking or buying more expensive RTX cards with "overclocking" features... becouse with overclock power usage jump to crazy 360w+ and you gain just few % or proably more errors on boinc crunching.. for gamers is it other "story" but nearly same.. soo buy cheapest 2080 , for exemple i just wrote this becouse black friday incomming and it maybe can help somebody.. |

Hi Jozef, Glad to hear that you got it working! I looked at your tasks and you are averaging about 88 seconds now, which is probably very close to 100% utilization. It won't be too long before utilization starts to drop and you need 3 tasks though; probably by the end of November. Thank you for the link and power consumption tips as well. I think that I have used my computer parts budget for 2018 though, so maybe I will get one next year :) Regards, Kellen |

Then why am I experiencing the slowdown if only the Open CL tasks should be affected. I am spending almost the same computer time and electricity to process almost half the workunits. And others are reporting the same issue which began about Oct. 20. I am reminded of the old Farside cartoon where the scientist in a white lab-coat is standing in front of a chalk board filled with complex mathematical equations and in the bottom right hand corner appears the words "and then a miracle occurs" Because suddenly, a few hours after this post, and with no action on my part, my workunit processing speed is back to what it used to be. |

Hey people, I would really appreciate some sort of an explanation for what is going on! |

The Amicable numbers of light in these 10 `20 search, slowly spirals closer and closer TO "event horizon" and it cause effect called "spaghettification"... : becouse we must run now SIX tasks in one time, 9000mb of gpu ram and it need also 6 cores from cpu.. "Clock ticking" (Rac) more slowly And "mase size increasing"(9000mb+next week) .. and we will sucked into the central singularity soon ... But dont by worry ..this 10`20 "black hole" have short life, and is on 100% predicted to disappear/evaporate sometimes in february 2019... And of course(?) will give "birth" of new mathematical supermassive black hole : 10`21 |

I just finished a CPU Task (task 20506407), with 4 CPUs, required 44 hours of CPU time over a 70 hour period to complete. I have been aborting tasks which are 4% - 5% completed after 6 - 8 hours, knowing that they will not get to 100% within 72 hours. A month ago, CPU tasks, with 3 CPUs, required about 15 hours of CPU time to complete. At this point, does it make sense to extend the processing window from 3 days to 4 or 5 days? |

OK. I've had enough! In the past, and for several months, I was processing 14-15 CPU work units per day at 6836.19 credits per unit. Then, around the 20 Oct, my performance dropped to 6-7 units per day. Then, around 19 Nov, my performance jumped back to 14-15 units per day. Then, a couple of days later, it dropped back to 5-6 units per day. Then, about Dec 6, it jumped back to 14-15 units per day for a few hours, then drop down to 1-2 units per day where it has remained. My repeated requested for assistance have come and gone and I am no longer going to donate my computer time and electricity for 1-2 units per day at 6836.19 credits per unit! Since all of this has occurred with no changes to my system hardware or software, I have to wonder if Amicable Numbers is suffering hacker attacks from idiots that are trying to get rich quick by gaming the crypto coin systems and creating issues for everyone else? But until I get word this issue is resolved, I am forced to abandon this project. |

To give you an idea I have a 1070 TI tasks used to run around 8 minutes they have increased now to 9.5 to 10 minutes I am running one task at a time. Load is still peaking at around 89 % will not load drops below 50% I may look at running 2 tasks at a time to increase the load |

I checked "good" and "bad" WUs in profiler, and got this for "good" WU: InitialCheck128() = 22.36% of execution time CheckPairInternal() = 72.05% of execution time and this for "bad" WU: InitialCheck128() = 83.53% of execution time CheckPairInternal() = 15.37% of execution time It looks like some number ranges require much more time to switch from slow 128-bit trial divisions to fast 64-bit code. There is nothing wrong with the code itself, it's just my assumption that all "large prime" ranges are the same turned out to be wrong. What's interesting is that OpenCL version doesn't suffer from this problem - probably because they're 32-bit natively and difference between 64 and 128-bit code is much smaller there. |

I checked "good" and "bad" WUs in profiler, and got this for "good" WU: I'm just curious, are you able to tell us how long a good work unit takes to run verse a bad one? Thanks |

At the bottom of the Server Status, it shows the the runtime of the last 100 tasks --- 1.50 hours average, 0.07 hours minimum and 81.97 hours maximum. Can the runtime be classified by CPU vs. GPU? Can the runtime be classified even further, such as: - CPU with 2 CPUs, CPU with 3 CPUs, CPU with 4 CPUs, etc. - AMD/ATI GPU with 2 CPUs, AMD/ATI GPU with 3 CPUs, etc. - NVIDIA GPU with 2 CPUs, NVIDIA GPU with 3 CPUs, etc. |

I try run now 16 task with kernel 21 to avoid decline trend.. on 2080Ti and 79,5 % of project .. but imagine if we will on 90% of project .. not many people will able or want to run this project.. project can stuck on infinite ,not ending Project must do something ,any shortcut.. or run pararel new 10,21 and this 10,20 Becouse project need soo many resources-cores from cpu.. i will not much longer run that many Gpu task .. i will back to 1 task-max kernel also if you run more task on lover kernel ,system is lagy .. best is on max kernel and balance how many task ..depend on gpu memory ammount.. |

I have been running the same hardware for the entirety of the project, and have noticed a definite drop in credits the past month or so. About 40-60% give or take. I also haven't discovered an Amicable Number in about a year... stuck at 16640... I am starting to wonder if I'm getting dummy work units or something. |

I am aware that tasks are a lot slower now but is anybody else having an issue receiving GPU work for Nvidia? |

Feels like a new thread, mate. This is a little spammy and out place in this thread imo. :) |
