Hello,
on my host
https://sech.me/boinc/Amicable/results.php?hostid=75988
Usually my WU runs in about 4200-4500 sec.
But all WU received today, freeze.
In slot directory, no any change after some hours !
CPU charge : nothing (task manager )
Because those WU takes all my 8Cores, why to let run something who nothing do ???
Sorry, I cancel all the WU.
You will see it in my host.
But I would like to know why !!!
Best regards

Hi Marsinph,

I took a look at the error outputs for those tasks and it looks like BOINC is having trouble loading some necessary files. Did you do any updates to Windows while BOINC was running, or move any files?

Also; make sure that BOINC is allowed to have enough memory. The tasks are growing in memory usage still and you may have just crossed a threshold where there isn't enough to run properly. With 8 cores they need over 4GB RAM now.

No matter the cause, I think that the solution to this problem will be as simple as removing Amicable Numbers from BOINC, restarting your computer, then adding Amicable Numbers back. My guess is that everything will work just fine afterwards. Just don't forget to copy your app_config.xml before deleting Amicable Numbers, then you can copy it back after ;)

Regards,
Kellen
