Does anyone else have the problem of apparently not finding any new pairs anymore? My last pair was found quite a while ago on my GTX 1660. Since then about 200 wu's where processed with no new findings. By the way does only that one get credit which turned in the wu first or also the wingman? Maybe there are a lot of people equipped with Ampere cards now which finish the wu's a lot faster and that's why I don't find pairs anymore. Just wondering..

Both users that crunch the task get credit and pair discovery.

I have a fairly old (and slow) machine which has managed to find 880 pairs since 2017. But the last pair found is dated 2020 - none at all in 2021!
I have been concerned for some while that, after regularly finding pairs at intervals of one or two days the whole process seems to be failing big time. Surely, I tell myself, the administrators must be aware (I'm evidently not the only one to see this) - or are they bothered at all?
Is anyone finding pairs? Or are we all just wasting our time?

Pairs found each day are listed here: https://sech.me/ap/log/2021/
And the main page is here: https://sech.me/ap/index.html
As far as I can see, you found 9 pairs in 2021 so far.

I just cranked thru a dozen or so WUs and no change to my counter. Is the site just not showing it correctly?

I just went thru about 1 million points worth of WUs and I only just found a single pair. Maybe we're just in a section of numbers where they don't appear very much.

I just checked the my stats and it seems my machines are finding around 5 pairs/day with an RAC of around 3.5 million. So on average 1 pair for every 700k RAC. Given that one WU is just below 7k credits this means my machines are finding one pair every 100 WU's.

Obviously this is a back of an envelope calculation and your mileage will vary.

As per my previous post you will see that pairs are currently discovered approximately once every 100 WU's. Given that you are not using a GPU client it will take some time to discover a pair.

Historically pairs used to be discovered far more frequently. Based on my all-time stats I have discovered pairs more frequently than every 5 WU's. With larger numbers, it now takes many more WU's to accomplish this.
