I've been doing Amicable for only a little while now. And always noticed when it was running the GPU Utilization on Task Manager always stayed constant at 99 to 100% when Amicable is running. But here lately it's all over the place without me changing anything settings on my GPU and CPU. Doesn't seem to affect my computation time per project (which is about 7 minutes) It's just weird to me is all.
Anyway was just wondering if this was a quirk of the program or something else and completely normal.

Thanks!

I would recommend using a program called GPU Z, this will give you much more accurate reading on your GPU utilisation. To be honest I and seeing the same 3 – 4% fluctuation using task manager

On Windows 11 with a 3080 I am seeing a fluctuation of between 3 and 4% utilisation anywhere from 96 up to 100% I don't feel this is anything to worry about.

Ya im probably over thinking it. Though TechPowerUp GPU-Z. During amicable runs the PerfCap Reason it shows pwr but there are these short blips of idles scattered in the graph. I'm using VFTuner overclocking maybe that has something to do with that. Cuz the GPU clock keeps bouncing from 1700mhz to 1950mhz. :/

Seems like a decent over clock. I'm not in a place to comment in regards to you GPU clock bouncing around it sounds reasonable. One thing I would suggest trying is return GPU clocks back to what they were before you make changes and see if the GPU utilisation stops fluctuating. This is assuming you are wanting to find out what caused it

Yah only task manager shows it spiking a lot. GPU-Z shows 95 to 100% with 100% most of the time. I did do a restart because I noticed something was hogging ALL my VRAM up to 8gb. I run CPU Einstein and GPU Amicable on this machine. So didn't know who was the culprit, but I seemed to have gotten a very slow vram leak during that time.

Both the project you are running require a reasonable amount of system memory. I believe Amicable Numbers needs around 7 GB per task and Einstein also requires a reasonable amount of memory. So I am not sure if you have a memory leak or if it was just a combination of 2 memory intensive projects

I think its just Amicable.. I run Einstein CPU only on this machine and Amicable only runs the GPU (and .298 CPU). My Kernel is set to 23 as well too. I just remember like 10 or so days ago it was a steady like 2-4 gb each task and now its 7 gb per task. Just wondering if something changed in the code or if anyone else notice a bump in VRAM usage? It's not really a problem as I can always close out boinc, but I do have to restart my computer to get all my VRAM back. I'm also doing Gridcoin staking so might be that as well. Who knows lol.

In regards to the V RAM usage it has been 7 GB per task for long as I can remember, have a look at top news item on the front page dated 25 October 2019.
I have a 3080 and my kernel size is set to 21I don't encounter any problems that I have noticed
