Good Morning, Are there any plans for application support of the Apple ARM hardware? Thanks, Jon Fox |

Yes that would be great! Any update as of november 2024? Only Intel Macs are currently supported. |

Technically it's possible to build the binaries for the arm64-apple-macos-11 compiler target. But first I need to figure out how to add arm64 macOS platform to the project because it didn't even exist when this project started. |

Ok, thanks for the response. Hoping for Apple Silicon support at some point in the future, cause the new M4 Macs are selling like crazy right now, with many people finally ditching Windows... |

And the new M4 Ultra Mac Studio, and maybe even an M4 Extreme Mac Pro, are coming this year, with the Ultra, or both new chips, having much better scaling than the M2 Ultra, meaning a lot of extra compute power, along with the new Nvidia 50-series GPU's, so having Apple SIlicon support ready for the M4 Ultra would be so amazing :) |

Update: Just tried this project anyway on my M4 Mac mini, and I immediately got 1 CPU task, since this project uses all the CPU cores for 1 task These were running under Rosetta 2 though, so not native, but still, it works, which means you can add MacOS ARM to the Applications page :) |

The M4 Ultra Mac Studio will support the NVIDIA 50-series GPUs?!?!?!? Can you please post a link to that report? TIA.

No, that’s not what I have. I meant that all the extra compute power from the new 50 series GPU’s and new Mac Studio devices seperately, but combined with the existing project compute power, will be great, cause both and so powerful individually, the Mac Studio has Apple Silicon GPU cores, not a discrete GPU. |

Is this something you're planning to do or look into in the near future? :) |

Maybe you can ask on the BOINC forums because you are not the first dealing with this. Thanks! |

Given that Amicable Numbers is expected to reach its terminal goal in another six months or so, I don't think it is worth Sergei's effort. Sorry to share the unfortunate news. :-(
