this BOINC project was listed as a candidate for the 8th BOINC Pentathlon (May 5-19). (A)
e.g. last year 77 BOINC teams took part in the Pentathlon.

Would there be enough WUs available when the final selection of BOINC projects would include you?

There are enough WUs, you can always look at server's status here: https://sech.me/boinc/Amicable/server_status.php
It says that "ETA at current speed 1 Jul 2017". Even if the speed doubles, it won't finish before May 19th. And I plan to add some WUs worth a couple of weeks of computation after that (to double check results), so don't worry about work availability.
