It's been over a week now since I've found any new Amicable pairs, and I'm crunching at almost 3 million credits/day average. Anybody else hit a dry spot? |

I have over 500 tasks in "pending" status. C'mon, wingperson :) |

Yes I have to agree that finding has been very slow recently. I also have a lot of pending tasks under 100 but that is high for me. |

I have over 500 tasks in "pending" status. C'mon, wingperson :) I just had a look at your host that is running a 1070 with 100's of pending results. I have come up with a possible explanation as to why results are taking so long to validate, could be because there are some long running tasks over a 1000 seconds. Sometimes I find for whatever reason people tend to abandon long running tasks when they are used to shorter tasks. Just my 2 cents |

Speedy, I don't know if that's the case. I only checked a few of the pending tasks, and there was only one other WU issued; no abandoned/aborted. And, fyi, my total did just increment (w/o my pending WUs total going down - now over 600). Fun, fun, fun :) |

Steve, in that case I am not sure. I noticed overnight I got a few more pairs. I also noticed my impending have dropped considerably. I have noticed some people don't abandon or abort any work they have in the queue so before it can be reissued it has to time out. |

Steve, Speedy, True on the timeout. It appears the dam has broken, though. I've had my pending tasks queue decrease by a couple of hundred, and my A.N. count has started to climb. Would be interesting to hear from the admin(s) about whether something was constipated :) |

The previous 25*... range was depleted of new amicable pairs in the end. |

Hi all, My apologies for digging up this thread but is something happening ? I mean, I've been running some tasks, getting credits for them, but suddenly no more amicable numbers found altough it was increasing steadily not so long ago. I'm not mad, angry or anything, just asking (curious actually) :) Best regards ! |

It depends on current search range of numbers. Some ranges are rich with new numbers, some others don't have them at all. |

Alright, thank you very much for the explanation, didn't know that at all :) Best regards, micropro |

Hello :), By curiosity, I checked the stats of participants ordered by Total credit. If you look at the first 1000 with this order, you will see that some have 0 amicable pair discovered, although they contributed a lot. But the interesting fact is that these participants all started in 2018. So I assume they did a lot of number crunching at a time when there was nothing to found in the current range and quit before seeing some good news. Best regards, Laurent Lyaudet |
