I have been part of this project since August 2022 and found 151 amicable pairs between then and late October. My availability has been spotty for a bit due to a move but over the last two weeks amicable numbers has run non-stop. No new amicable pairs have been added during that time. Have other users also experienced that issue? It seems like a long time considering I complete over 10 tasks each day. |

I have to agree pairs have certainly been few and far between lately. I have read the information from post 1630 & understand completely. On the bright side credit is always good :-) |

Just noticed this thread and thought I would check my stats. I have discovered over 58k amicable pairs since 2019. In 2023, I have discovered a grand total of 28 pairs. My RAC is > 3 million, meaning I return close to 500 WU's a day. So far, we have had 114 days in 2023 meaning that I have returned close to 50k WU's so far. With only 28 pairs found, it is safe to say, we are currently in a very lean patch. From a scientific viewpoint, not finding pairs is still important. |

I agree. Even though I noticed I have not been finding many new pairs this year, I am sticking with the project. I agree that finding new pairs AND not finding new pairs is important. |

There are not many new pairs right now, but they are being found: https://sech.me/ap/log/2023/2023-04-27/VOLUNTEERS%40BOINC.txt - in case someone was wondering if everything works correctly. |

I notice that we are not finding many amicable pairs recently. I have only found 2 in the last week. |

It is expected because part 3 of the search is sifting through numbers with large prime factors in them (such amicable numbers are rare). |

Thanks for the heads-up. As I posted before, not finding amicable numbers is equally important as finding them. |
