The WUs for part 4 should take 5-6 months to process at the current speed. So maybe you will be able to get to 1 billion :) |

What I'm hearing is when Part 4 of 10^21 is finished, Amicable Numbers will most likely be finished. IF I person is trying to obtain a badge, they have about 6 months to obtain it. Due to the time to complete 10^22, there are no plans to initiate 10^22. I would like to thank you for all your efforts with 10^20 and 10^21. I also appreciate your thoroughness. GOOD JOB! |

Bonjour, La partie 3 arrive à sa fin. Quelle va être la suite du programme? Une partie 4? Ou continuons-nous une autre tranche de calcul? Outre autre chose!? Cordialement, |

There will be part 4 and it will take approximately 6 months. There are no other plans after that, so the project will most likely finish. |

And then? Then switch to another boinc project^^ Maybe numberfields@home is a good choice. |

Straight from Sergei.. https://sech.me/boinc/Amicable/forum_thread.php?id=300&postid=2144#2144 There will be part 4 and it will take approximately 6 months. There are no other plans after that, so the project will most likely finish. I didn't think it was too difficult to understand. |

I remember crunching Amicable Numbers years ago on a 1050 Ti. It's awesome to see the project come to a close possibly in 2026. |

In early January, the server predicted that Part 4 would end in late February. Now the server is predicting that Part 4 will end in late March. The predicted end date is changing rather rapidly. On February 9, the server predicted that Part 4 would end on March 18. Today (February 21), the server predicted that Part 4 will end on March 29. I wonder what is happening. Is there more work than originally anticipated? Are crunchers leaving the project? Are crunchers getting less efficient?

Part of the explanation might be found here: https://grafana.kiska.pw/d/boinc/boinc?orgId=1&var-project=Amicable&from=now-7d&to=now. It looks like the project was consuming about 16 TFLOPS on February 15/16. That value has trended downward and is now at ~11.5 TFLOPS.

It's all fine regardless of the reason if the project runs a little longer it's more tasks for the rest of us to enjoy. Thanks Bill F In October 1969 I took an oath to support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; There was no expiration date.

Currently at 13.943 TFLOPS an increase of 2.4 TFLOPS in almost as many days. I feel if everyone was to return to work and allow the server to catch up there will be less strain on the server hopefully allowing server to process things quicker. Just my two cents |

Many people switched their GPUs from Amicable Numbers to PrimeGrid for the Tour de Primes tournament which ran the entire month of February. They are now returning to Amicable Numbers. |

Hopefully you are right, as of this post there has been only a minor increase. To be honest the completion date has gone from the 28th to 29 March 2026 |
